Out-of-work singer Victoria Grant matches a just-fired, flamboyant homosexual man at a diner in 1920s Paris. He wants her to pretend for a guy who’s a female impersonator so as to receive work. The action is a hit at a local nightclub, however, things become complicated when a gangster and nightclub owner from Chicago, King Marchan, falls in love with “him.” Filmed live on Broadway, 1995.
