The Wise Kids
A vivid, dynamic Southern coming-of-age drama, takes place within the transitional house between highschool and school, when life appears to be all questions and no solutions, and the long run is scarily vast open. Set in and round a Charleston, SC Baptist church, weaving by means of this ensemble piece are three major characters – Brea, an introspective pastor’s daughter experiencing debilitating doubt, the hyperactive Laura, Brea’s finest good friend and a religious believer, and Tim, the open-hearted son of a single father, confronting his homosexuality for the primary time. Tensions and buried emotions abound, as schools are chosen and adults behave badly, as Brea, Laura and Tim try to hold onto what they’ve, all of the whereas craving to interrupt free.
