The Way West

From the mid-19past century, Senator William J. Tadlock directs a bunch of settlers overland in a search to initiate a new settlement at the Western US. Tadlock is an extremely principled and demanding taskmaster who’s as tough on himself because he’s on those people who have united his wagon train. He also clashes with among those newest settlers, Lije Evans, that does not quite value Tadlock’s manners. On the way, the families have to confront death along with heartbreak and a sampling of frontier justice when one of these inadvertently kills a young Indian boy.
