Primarily based on Lloyd Kaufman’s cult 1984 comedy movie, The Toxic Avenger The Musical tells the story of the residents of Tromaville who’re crying out for a hero. Enter nerdy Melvin Ferd the Third, an aspiring earth scientist, decided to scrub up the state’s main poisonous waste downside. When a corrupt Mayor and her authorities goons get wind of his plans, they vow to cease this heroic feat. Melvin is attacked and tossed right into a vat of poisonous waste… remodeling him immediately into The Toxic Avenger, New Jersey’s first superhero! Toxie is a 7-foot mutant freak with superhuman energy and a supersized coronary heart to match. His goals are to avoid wasting closely polluted New Jersey, finish international warming, win the center of the prettiest (blindest) librarian on the town – and get residence in meal time!
