The Taming of the Shrew
Baptista, a wealthy Paduan retailer, admits his fair young daughter, Bianca, will probably stay unwed before her older sister, Katharina, a hellish shrew, has wed. Lucentio, a pupil and the kid of a rich Pisan retailer, has fallen in love with Bianca. He presents as a coach of poetry and music to obtain entry to the Baptista family and also to be close Bianca. Meanwhile, Petruchio, a fortune-hunting scoundrel in Verona, arrives in Padua, expecting to catch a wealthy spouse. Hortensio, yet another suitor of Bianca, directs Petruchio’s focus on Katharina. If Hortensio warns him around Katharina’s scolding tongue and fiery temper, Petruchio is contested and simplifies to catch her love. Hortensio and yet another suitor of Bianca, Gremio, concur to pay Petruchio’s prices because he pursues Katharina.
