The Sweet Hereafter
A little mountain community in Canada is ruined if a school bus mishap leaves over a dozen of its kids dead. A big-city attorney arrives to assist the natives’ and victims’ families organize a class-action lawsuit, but his attempts only appear to induce the townspeople farther apart. At exactly the exact same time, one teenaged survivor of the injury must reckon with the lack of innocence caused with a different type of harm.
