The Rocket
Set against the verdant backdrop of rural Laosthis lively play tells the story of scrappy ten-year-old Ahlo, that yearns to break loose out of his unlucky fate. After his village has been displaced to make way for a large dam, Ahlo flows his dad and grandma during the Laotian outback searching for a brand new home. On the waythey locate rocket festival that provides Ahlo a rewarding but harmful opportunity to demonstrate his worth.
