The Midnight After
A night just like every other from the streets of Hong Kong: at the middle of the temptations of night owls, sellers and automobiles, friends of passengers climbs aboard a mini bus which will shoot them out of Mongkok into Tai Po. The set can be as diverse as the city: there’s a son on medication, an engaging couple, a lady with ivory beads and also a girl that has simply fallen in love. And driving stays the chatty motorist. But while the bus originates out of a tube, what’s suddenly quite still: the roads and buildings are typical empty and there’s not really a soul to be seen; it’s as though everybody has unexpectedly been consumed by the world. Only the countless blue lights continue to float, like nothing has ever happened. The diverse group of riders seek refuge in a deserted café and share what they ought to do. They then create an horrible discovery…
