The Lemon Drop Kid
If the Lemon Drop Kid unintentionally cheats gangster Moose Moran (Fred Clark) from his trail winnings, that the Kid guarantees to refund Moose the cash by Christmas. Developing a bogus charity to get “Apple Annie” Nellie Thursday, the Kid tips his gang to donning Santa matches and “amassing dough for older dolls” such as Nellie that have nowhere to live. Radio character Marilyn Maxwell aids because the Kid’s girlfriend, although William Frawley and Jay C. Flippen perform with the adorable, gruff crooks which autumn to get your Kid’s Santa scam.
