The Homesman
When three ladies dwelling on the sting of the American frontier are pushed mad by harsh pioneer life, the duty of saving them falls to the pious, independent-minded Mary Bee Cuddy. Transporting the ladies by lined wagon to Iowa, she quickly realizes simply how daunting the journey shall be, and employs a low-life drifter, George Briggs, to hitch her. The unlikely pair and the three ladies head east, the place a ready minister and his spouse have supplied to take the ladies in. However the group first should traverse the tough Nebraska Territories marked by stark magnificence, psychological peril and fixed risk.
