Vera Parks, an exceedingly intense and ambitious Broadway manager, has fired from still another career, leaving her no option except to just take a gig heading a smalltown Christmas pageant in up state ny. Stunned at just how basic the production is, Vera tries to back outside, but is convinced by a few of these natives to present their town a opportunity. To her surprise, the charm and warmth of this little town develops on Vera and she enjoys the adventure of directing the pageant. When Vera finds her prior fiancé Jack urged her to get the work, she’s outraged. However, as time passes Vera enjoys the gestureas she develops near to both Jack along with his son.
