The Assault

Saturday 24th December 1994. Four GIA terrorists hijack an Air France A300 Air Bus at the Algiers airport. The air bus, bound for Paris, has 227 passengers . Nobody knows just what the terrorists’ goals are, simply they are armed and extremely determined. They require the liberation of the “brothers in arms” and desire the aircraft to lose at the same time. After lengthy and intense discussions involving the French and Algerian authorities, the plane has been allowed to remain. There are 3 chief characters at the core of the activity: some part of this GIGN, Carole Jeanton, an ambitious technocrat keen to do anything needed to realize personal profit from those events, also Yahia Abdallah, also a determined jihadist who was raised in the slums of Algiers and continues to be exploited through an vague GIA envoy, Ali Touchent.
