Sunshine

The story of a Jewish family living in Hungary—during three generations—increasing from humble beginnings into positions of power and wealth at the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Even the patriarch becomes a notable estimate but is torn when his administration sanctions anti-Jewish persecutions. His son moves to Christianity to advance his own career as a champion fencer and literary enthusiast, but is trapped in the Holocaust. Last, the grandson, after living revolution, war, betrayal and loss, recognizes that his ultimate allegiance should be to his legacy.
