Red Trees
Award-winning filmmaker, Marina Willer (Cartas da Mãe), generates an impressionistic visual composition since she traces her father’s household travel as a member of just twelve Jewish households to endure the Nazi occupation of Prague through World War II. Photographed by Academy Award® nominee César Charlone (City of God), the movie travels from Eastern Europe into the colour and mild from South America and can be told through the voice of Willer’s dad Alfred (as narrated by Tim Pigott-Smith, Quantum of Solace), that observed real nightmares, transportations and also suicides but lived to construct a life span within a architect at Brazil.
