Ocean of Pearls
As a Sikh person with the complete beard and turban, AMRIT SINGH is most usually the mark of racial profiling. However, if he sees his own fantasies of becoming Chief of Surgery in a condition -of-the-art transplant centre because of his look, Amrit goes contrary to a heritage he has maintained his whole lifetime and cuts his own hair. Seeing this decision out of his girl friend and family from Toronto is just the beginning of a succession of compromises Amrit finds himself earning because he copes with hospital politics and healthcare injustices. After his compromises end from the departure of an individual, Amrit begins to reevaluate the worthiness of the religious customs he had turned his back .
