Nowhere in Africa
A Jewish woman named Jettel Redlich flees Nazi Germany with her daughter Regina, to join her husband, Walter, on a farm in Kenya. Initially, Jettel will not adapt to her new conditions, bringing with her a pair of china dishes along with a night dress. While Regina adheres easily to the new planet, forming a solid bond with her dad’s cook, an African called Owuor.
