Blank-faced insect killer Bill Lee and his dead-eyed wife, Joan, just like to get high on Bill’s insect toxins while lounging together with Beat poet pals. After fulfilling with the Dr. Benway, Bill understands a medication created from a centipede. Upon indulging, ” he inadvertently kills Joan, takes orders from his typewriter-turned-cockroach, ends up at a continuously mutating Mediterranean town and learns his cool buddies have published his own work — which he does not recall writing.
