Through the confusing and conspiratorial Joseon Dynasty King Gwang-hae requests his councilor, HEO Kyun, to get him a double as a way to prevent the constant danger of assassination. HEO Kyun finds out Ha-sun, a jester who looks remarkably similar to the king, also only as dreaded, Gwang-hae is contested. HEO Kyun suggests Ha-sun fulfill the function as king before Gwang-hae recovers fully and grooms Ha-sun to check and behave every little the king. While imagining the function of the king in his very first official look, Ha-sun begins to contemplate the intricacies of all these issues debated within his own court. Being more reassuring than Gwang-hae, Ha-sun’s appreciation and recognition of the very modest servants slowly affects morale from the castle to the higher. Yet, his main resistance, PARK, finds that the abrupt change from the king’s behaviour and starts to ask questions.
