Lost Horizon
This retelling of this traditional narrative of James Hilton’s Utopian dropped globe performs uneasily amid music production amounts and Bacharach pop songs. While speeding war-torn China, a bunch of Europeans wreck in the Himalayas, where they’re preserved and taken to the mysterious Valley of the Blue Moon, Shangri-La. Hidden by the remainder of earth, Shangri-La is a sanctuary of serenity and tranquility to world-weary diplomat Richard Conway. His ambitious brother, George, sees this as a prison where he must escape, even though it means risking his own life and bringing destruction into the early civilization of Shangri-La.
