Johnny Got His Gun
Joe, a younger American soldier, is hit by a mortar shell on the final day of World Battle I. He lies in a hospital mattress in a destiny worse than loss of life – a quadruple amputee who has misplaced his arms, legs, eyes, ears, mouth and nostril. Unbeknown to his docs, he stays acutely aware and capable of suppose, thereby reliving his life by unusual desires and reminiscences and unable to tell apart whether or not he’s awake or dreaming. He stays pissed off by his state of affairs, till sooner or later when Joe discovers a novel technique to talk together with his caregivers.
