Harbinger Down
friends of graduate students have booked passage to the fishing trawler Harbinger to review the ramifications of global warming in the pod of Orcas from the Bering Sea. After the boat’s team dredges a newly thawed little bit of older Soviet distance wreckage, matters become down right lethal. It appears that the Russians attempted tardigrades, miniature resilient critters able to resist the extremes of radiation. The monsters endured, however, perhaps not without mutation. The team is vulnerable to harshly mutating creatures. After being closed in ice hockey for 3 years, the critters are not planning to offer the warmth of human closeness.
