Emily Walters can be a American widow living in calm, uneventful presence from the idyllic Hampstead Village of London, if she meets a neighborhood recluse, Donald Horner. For 17 years, Donald has dwelt —exceptionally yet peacefully—at a ramshackle hut near the border of this woods. When Emily finds his home could be the prospective of programmers that will stop at nothing to remove himsaving Donald along with his real estate becomes her individual assignment. Despite his gruff exterior and considerate refusals for assistance, Emily is attracted to him—as he’s to her—and what begins as a charitable cause evolves in to a relationship which may grow as the bulldozers near.
