Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes

A delivery catastrophe in the 19th Century has stranded a person and girl in the wilds of Africa. The girl is pregnant, and provides delivery to a son of their tree home. Quickly after, a household of apes stumble throughout the home and in the ensuing panic, each mother and father are killed. A feminine ape takes the tiny boy as a substitute for her personal useless toddler, and raises him as her son. Twenty years later, Captain Phillippe D’Arnot discovers the man who thinks he’s an ape. Proof in the tree home leads him to consider that he’s the direct descendant of the Earl of Greystoke, and thus takes it upon himself to return the man to civilization.
