The Swede (Marlon Brando), a prison warden, principles his loved ones along with his jail with an iron hand at a few of the coldest sections of North Dakota. As soon as an inmate dies under mysterious conditions, however, the FBI sends in representative Karen Polarski (Mira Sorvino) to inquire. On the house front, this sons-in-law of the Swede, Larry (Thomas Haden Church) and Bud (Charlie Sheen) inadvertently find a train filled with tens of thousands of dollars of currency supposed to be destroyed will probably shortly be passing . The temptation is too good and the men hatch a scheme to rob the train. Needless to say, the greatest barrier in their way would be that the Swede.
