The European war was only starting to erupt across national boundaries. Johnny Jones, an American crime reporter discharged by his New York writer to put an original twist on the weary dispatches emanating from abroad, has got a nose for a fantastic story—that immediately leads him into the offense of fascism and Nazi Germany’s patterns on European conquest. In trying to find out more about a seemingly noble serenity attempt, Jones walks to the midst of an assassination, uncovers a secret ring also —maybe not completely coincidentally—falls into love.
