Fanarchy investigates the growth of fan culture and manners that fans are threatening the Hollywood system by learning to be an innovative force within their right. With cheap technology in their finger tips, buffs are producing new content monthly compared to websites or studios united. When it’s a first idea or perhaps a personal twist on a favourite film or television series, buffs are carrying the reins and blurring the line between professional and amateur. Written and directed at Halifax’s own Donna Davies, Fanarchy reveals the social media landscape and also the problems that complicate it – copyright, intellectual property and also the notion of creativity at a remix culture.
