Exorcist: The Beginning
Having dwelt traumatizing events throughout WWII, Father Lankester Merrin has a sabbatical from the Church to run archaeological excavations at British-administered East Africa. Merrin unearths an early Aztec church believed have already been assembled and subsequently instantly buried to maintain evil by the crypt below. The natives think uncovering the church has unleashed a fanatic, and also start to struggle with the British military troops. While the village immediately disintegrates into war and chaos, Merrin has to faceoff with the demon that has obtained possession of someone near him.
