Back in Nelson, New Zealand, twelve-year-old Ben intends to construct the race-winning Kiwi Flyer for this particular years trolley derby. However, Ben’s fantasy is ruined when his dad is murdered in an auto crash coming home with all the newly constructed trolley. When cocky class mate Shannon along with his thuggish boyracer old brother Shane that will stop at nothing to sustain the prize insult Ben’s late daddy, Ben is set to join the race and also conserve the memory of his dad.
