Twenty-year-old Cal yields from France to Britain after receiving news that his mum is ailing. His finds that his home city of Bristol facing hard economic times caused by the worldwide financial catastrophe, together with crime and poverty to the upswing along with rioting and looting nearly a nightly occurrence. It’s maybe not just a hot home coming as his ailing mum stays homophobic and wants nothing more to do with the currently openingly homosexual Cal while his battered Auntie Jane, currently dwelling in a rundown her home, dulls her stagnation with welfare financed booze and upsetting tries to suck her nephew. Assessing his way over this fresh picture he meets with a student that needs his assistance. Nevertheless his act of kindness brings him in to contact with also a lawless drug dealing pimp and a race against time and energy to generate peace with his mommy and escape town as fast as you can. A powerful story of a family mired in poverty, lost and angry however still looking for love, esteem and acceptance.
