Black Gold

On the Arabian Peninsula within the 1930s, two warring leaders come nose to nose. The victorious Nesib, Emir of Hobeika, lays down his peace phrases to rival Amar, Sultan of Salmaah. The 2 males agree that neither can lay declare to the world of no man’s land between them known as The Yellow Belt. In return, Nesib adopts Amar’s two boys Saleeh and Auda as a assure in opposition to invasion. Twelve years later, Saleeh and Auda have grown into younger males. Saleeh, the warrior, itches to flee his gilded cage and return to his father’s land. Auda cares just for books and the pursuit of information. Someday, their adopted father Nesib is visited by an American from Texas. He tells the Emir that his land is blessed with oil and guarantees him riches past his wildest creativeness. Nesib imagines a realm of infinite chance, a kingdom with roads, colleges and hospitals all paid for by the black gold beneath the barren sand. There is just one downside. The valuable oil is situated within the Yellow Belt.
