Awakenings
Dr. Malcolm Sayer, a shy research physician, utilizes an experimental drug to “awaken” the catatonic victims of a rare disorder. Leonard is the very first patient to get the controversial therapy. His awakening, full of awe and excitement, shows a rebirth to get Sayer also, since the shy individual shows life’s straightforward but unutterably sweet delights to the naturopathic physician.
