An Ideal Husband
Sir Robert Chiltern is a successful Government ministry, wealthy and having a husband. This is threatened if Mrs Cheveley seems in London with damning evidence of a past misdeed. Sir Robert turns for help to his friend Lord Goring, an apparently idle philanderer and the grief of his own father. Goring knows the woman of older, and, because of me personally, takes the entire thing pretty badly.
