A Band Called Death

Earlier than Dangerous Brains, the Intercourse Pistols and even the Ramones, there was Death. Fashioned within the early ’70s by three teenage brothers from Detroit, Death is credited as being the primary black punk band, and the Hackney brothers, David, Bobby, and Dannis, at the moment are thought of pioneers of their subject. However it wasn’t till lately — when a dusty 1974 demo tape made its means out of Bobby’s attic practically 30 years after Death’s heyday — that anybody outdoors a small group of punk fanatics had even heard of them.
